Tips on How to Begin
Once you enter the gallery, simply click on a category listed on the PHOTO GALLERY COLLECTIONS menu. Thumbnails will appear at the bottom of the viewing window. Click on a thumbnail to see a larger view. Click on the arrows to activate slideshow, to view previous image or next image. To return to the PHOTO GALLERY COLLECTIONS menu, click on the “Photo Gallery Collections” link at the top of the page.
The most recently added images are indicated with the word "New".
For best viewing, set your monitor resolution (screen size) to 1280x1024 pixels (or a minimum of 1024x768 pixels).
To Purchase an Image
To purchase prints or notecard(s) of your favorite images, click the “Add to Cart” button. Credit cards and PayPal are accepted. Also, IMAGES BY D. S. TAPPAN donates a portion of all online Photo Gallery and Gift Shop purchases to organizations which protect wildlife and wild places.

Online Image Quality
Though this Online Photo Gallery works best with a broadband connection, I've tried to accommodate Dial-up users as well. Therefore the images in this Online Photo Gallery are reduced and compressed to speed up loading time. As a result, online image quality is lessened as compared to the clarity and quality of the actual photograph. Color accuracy will depend on your monitor's calibration and so may vary from the original photograph.
Notice to AOL and Earthlink Accelerator browser users: To maintain image quality please reset your graphics image handler to "low acceleration" and "never compress" respectively.
Monitor Settings: Best viewed on a calibrated monitor set at a preferred window size (resolution) of 1280x1024 pixels (or a minimum of 1024x768 pixels).
